After finally leaving the clutches of Adobe I was looking over my list of subscriptions to see if there was anything else I could drop to help save a little money. The list of apps and services I pay for is longer than I would like, but I also use all of them on a very regular basis, so dropping anything at this point is hard.
The one that stood out to me this time though was OmniFocus. Very recently I nuked my entire database and started over with a clean slate. Things had gotten a bit out of hand and I wanted a fresh start. And since my OmniFocus was now fairly empty of stuff why not try once again to move over to Things 3 as my daily driver? I love Things! It is a gorgeous app with some great functionality.
So I started the process of getting my small list of tasks ported over to Things. Feeling happy that I would be able to stay on top of the stuff I need to get done, while spending just a little less money every month.
Well, that whole journey lasted about half a day before I said “screw this”, deleted Things from my phone once again and re-installed OmniFocus.
I’ve tried this before. I should have seen this coming and saved myself the trouble.
