When updating my phone to iOS 26 I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. Based on what I’d been reading on Mastodon and from various blogs in my RSS reader I definitely wasn’t super optimistic.
But so far I’m honestly enjoying this update a lot. I think it looks fantastic, and as someone who uses their phone way too much during the day things don’t really feel all that different from iOS 18. Except that it looks prettier. My biggest complaint would probably be that in certain menus you need a few more taps to get to the option you’re looking for.
I haven’t really run into any issues or bugs so far, but they definitely exist and I hope Apple get around to fixing most of them quickly. Though their track record in that department isn’t exactly stellar, so I’m not getting my hopes up.
I feel the need to stress that this is just my opinion, and I’m not trying to imply that the people that are complaining are wrong in any way. Personally I like it, maybe you don’t and that’s ok.
