So, remember when I said that I was going to finish this spaceship model by last Tuesday? Well, as one should expect, life got in the way of my plans and didn’t leave me with a whole lot of energy to do much of anything. It’s done now though, and I think it turned out quite all right.
I don’t spend as much time modeling spaceships as I would really like, because they take me so damn long to finish. But I got into the groove with this one, and it had been quite a while since the last one I made I figured it was time for a new one anyway. This whole thing started off in a very different direction, but eventually, I settled on attempting to create something a little bit No Man’s Sky inspired.
There are areas of this thing I would still like to improve, but I very much doubt I’ll ever go back and do any of those things. On the other hand, there is a solid chance that I’ll make another new ship in a similar style, as I enjoyed working on this one.
For now here are some very basic renders showing off the model. I will probably put it to use in some more interesting scenes further down the road. Thanks for taking a look!
