I realised I’ve yet to share my Control Center set-up. But after slowly tweaking and improving it for a few months I think I’ve finally landed on a layout I enjoy.
It’s nothing super special, mostly just the regular controls and buttons. But the bottom row of Shortcuts are probably my favourite part and definitely the most useful.
The “Get Snippet” Shortcut is pretty much what it sounds like. I have a bunch of stuff stored in a Datajar database that I can quickly copy to my clipboard when needed. “App Settings” lets me quickly get to the iOS settings page of the currently active app. The next one grabs what ever is in my clipboard and creates a new note in Drafts. And the final Shortcut is for saving links to various places. It looks at the link in my clipboard and depending on what type of link it is I’m given different options for where to save it.
The only thing I need to find a replacement for is the camera button. Never in my life have I launched the camera app from the Control Center.
