I Have No Idea What I’m Doing: A Game Dev Update

It’s been a little while since I posted some progress updates about this little roguelike game I’m attempting to develop. But I’m very much still working on it! Being the very novice game developer that I am, I’ve been spending a whole lot of time fumbling around in the dark, but I’ve been having fun and I’ve definitely learned a lot.

Since the last time I wrote about my game dev journey, I’ve restarted the whole project from scratch at least twice. The last restart was scrapped and I went back to the previous version, removed and cleaned up a whole bunch of junk from that one and I’m now working on adding things back in with (hopefully) a bit more of a plan as to how everything should fit together.

At least for a while, until I eventually get to a point where everything starts becoming a bit of a mess again and I’ll probably repeat the process over again. But with a foundation that is (again, hopefully) increasingly more solid. At least that’s the plan. I have no idea what I’m doing.

Stay tuned for more concrete updates!
